Job Description We are looking for a Systems Engineer to help build out, maintain, and troubleshoot our expanding infrastructure. We are looking for an individual that can work with in an independent way, without much supervision and that likes to own what he is doing. You will be part of a talented team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security. Working on the Travel workspace with the partner of choice for the world's leading travel agencies and corporate travel programs, you will be supporting our internal systems, working along with our Operations teams in US and Bangalore. There are large development team in Bangalore and US with whom we work closely. Help set monitoring requirements and implement automated incident resolution solutions. Identify areas for process and efficiency improvement within Platform Support Operations; recommend solutions and assist in overseeing implementation. Actively facilitate continuous improvement. Ensure all necessary operational processes and procedures are carried out with a high level of attention. Dynamic environment with access to experience people and training materials. Desire to learn is a must. If after seeing anything piece of code works, your first reaction is “How does that works?” . Then this position is a fit. Projects like owning our Zabbix infrastructure, coding automation on Ansible or orchestrating repetitive work will be part of your daily life. Job Requirements Minimum 1 years related experience on a similar position. Experience with configuration, change management, monitoring or and trending of Platform/ Application. Experience with Zabbix, New Relic, Solar Winds, App Dynamics or other Monitoring application. Experience supporting web services and customer facing APIs. Experience with a configuration manager such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Salt, etc. is a plus Understanding of TCP/IP and HTTP protocols. Some scripting skills ( ruby, python, perl or shell scripting) Can you write an If loop? A while loop? Do you know what a function is? If you can answer that and follow the logic on developing code, then you might be a fit. Experience using an operational ticketing system to record changes and work history details such as JIRA or Service Now. On hand experience committing any type of code and working with with Git/SVN code respositories.
